Chlorinated solvents, such as PCE and TCE, are a significant class of groundwater contaminants that tend to accumulate in bedrock fractures and sediments and become difficult to remove by conventional remedial techniques.
WRI has developed new techniques to enhance reductive dechlorination of chlorinated compounds in situ. A combination of proprietary substrates and nitrogen sources are injected into the groundwater to achieve sustainable and complete dechlorination and produce harmless end-products. WRI’s proprietary treatment package is widely applicable in remediating chlorinated solvents in groundwater.
